The Artillery Brewing Company began, like many great American ideas, in a basement. Creativity, curiosity, and a passion for the world’s best beers drove those early recipes. What started as homebrewing soon grew into a commercial operation on a local farm — land with ties to the Battle of Brandywine.

A powerful brand was needed. The founders chose one that would honor both American history and the community that lives upon it.

Inspired by the Brandywine Valley’s pivotal role in the American Revolution, our name and identity pay tribute to the local battlefields and monuments that still stand quietly among our towns and countryside. The Artillery brand shines a light on that living history — and raises a glass to the spirit of independence that defined it.

From the first batch of The Cannonball — a Belgian-style golden strong ale — to today’s expansive lineup of American, Belgian, Czech, English, German, and Irish styles, we’ve remained committed to traditional methods and balanced flavor. You won’t find a wall of hazy IPAs or a dozen sours here. Instead, each beer is crafted to tell its own story — refined, expressive, and deeply drinkable.
