Juliselle Burgos

Juliselle Burgos is a cultural preservationist, folkloric performer, and teaching artist based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with over a decade of experience uplifting Afro-Caribbean and Puerto Rican traditions through education, performance, and community engagement.

Rooted in a deep commitment to cultural preservation, Juliselle activates culturally responsive arts programming that bridges generations and foster’s identity, creativity, and connection. She specializes in folkloric dance, movement, working with participants of all ages—from early childhood to adult learners.

Throughout her career, she has facilitated artist residencies and workshops in schools and community organizations across Philadelphia and the tri-state area collaborating with educators to align arts programming with academic and developmental goals. Her work integrates curriculum development with hands-on artistic expression, creating meaningful learning experiences that celebrate heritage and empower communities.

Juliselle has partnered with organizations such as Los Bomberos de la Calle, Taller Puertorriqueño, and PhillyBombaPlena Cultural Center. In addition to her teaching work, she is an active performer, sharing the richness of folkloric traditions at cultural events, community celebrations, and educational programs.
