At the SPARC, you can expand your creative experiences all year long. Opportunities for creative growth abound… choose whether to improve your existing skills or learn some completely new ones. Or both!

Led by a passionate team of educators and professionals, our programs create opportunities for all ages to explore their artistic potential, while building a stronger, more inclusive community. Through our programming, we aim to enrich lives, deepen community ties, and cultivate a lasting appreciation for the arts.

  • Delaware County Flute Choir
    Join us and explore shimmering melodies from piccolo to bass flute, guided by expert musicians who share your passion. Celebrate “all things flute” and unleash your inner virtuoso!

    Flute Choir is for players ages 10 – adult who have been playing for at least 2 years, are able to read standard music notation, and have an instrument to play.

    Meets Thursdays, October 2 through December 11 at Drexel Hill United Methodist Church from 6:30 to 8:00 pm

  • What happens when your favorite stories leap off the page and onto the stage? In Page to Stage, participants will have the opportunity to transform beloved children’s books into theatrical performances. Page to Stage provides hands on opportunities to enhance your storytelling, writing, acting and creativity skills!

    For Current 4th through 6th Graders
    Meets Thursdays, October 2 through December 11 at Drexel Hill United Methodist Church from 7:00 to 8:00 pm.

  • Get ready to think on your feet, trust your instincts, and unleash your imagination! In Improv, participants will have the chance to explore the fundamentals of improv through games, scene work and group activities! Alongside peers, the class will provide you with the chance to build confidence, collaborate with others and just enjoy creative play.

    7th - 12th Graders meet Thursdays, October 2 through December 11 at the Church of the Holy Comforter from 6:00 to 7:00 pm.

  • Bomba Plena is a an Afro-Puerto Rican dance style that combines the upbeat rhythm of African drumming with narrative lyrics. This genre tells the story of the African heritage of Puerto Rico, inviting its listeners to dance, create community, and celebrate life.

    Join Tony Mendez of Los Bomberos De La Calle and Katsi Miranda-Lozada in this celebration of Puerto Rican culture through music!

    Grades 1-6, Wednesdays 5:00 - 6:00 PM
