Brian Boeshore

Brian Boeshore is a choir director and singer located in the greater Philadelphia area. Raised in central Pennsylvania, Brian was an active student musician in West Shore School District, where he sang with his school program's top choirs and played with their acclaimed band. Brian grew up performing voice, piano, saxophone, and musical theatre, performing in local theatre performances and PMEA district, region, and state ensembles.

After graduating high school, Brian received a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Susquehanna University, where he was an active member and section leader in the University Choir and Chamber Singers under the direction of Julia Brasher Thorn. After receiving his Bachelor Degree, Brian pursued his Master of Music in Voice Performance and Pedagogy at Westminster Choir College of Rider University. While there, Brian sang with the Symphonic Choir, which allowed him to perform master works under the batons of conductors Charles Dutoit, Alan Gilbert, and Yannick Nezet-Seguin.

After finishing his Master's Degree, Brian returned to Harrisburg to continue teaching music as a private instructor and church musician. In 2019, Brian moved to Pasadena, Texas, and started his public teaching career at La Porte Independent School District, where he built the 6th-8th choral program on two campuses. After three years, his choir received Sweepstakes at UIL adjudication, and the incoming 6th grade chorus was nearly twice the size it was 3 years prior.

At this point, Brian returned to PA to take over the choral department at Upper Darby High School from Barbara Benglian. Since starting in 2022, the choir program has grown in size and skill, and they have started to travel again. In 2025, the Encore Singers performed at the Pennsylvania Music Education Association state conference in the Poconos. Brian is excited to start this new journey with the Upper Darby Arts & Education Foundation through our new community choir.
